Meet our doctor:
Dr. Karen Johnson grew up in Green River, Wyoming. She attended Casper College and the University of Wyoming before moving to California for Optometry School. She is a 1998 graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. After graduation, she completed a residency in hospital based optometry in Sells, Arizona at the USPHS IHS Hospital where she received extensive training in the area of diabetic eye disease. She has presented her research on the prevalence of diabetic eye disease at the American Academy of Optometry and has been published in optometry journals in the area of contact lenses.
Before opening Eye Concepts Vision Center, Dr. Johnson practiced for several years at a large ophthalmology group and then in a commercial location in Moline, Illinois and in Chandler, Arizona. She has been licensed to practice in Georgia, Iowa, Illinois and Arizona.
In her free time Dr. Johnson enjoys backpacking, hiking, traveling and being a dance mom to her daughters Libby and Avery.
Jared Branch has been a dispensing optician for 22 years. He is certified by the American Board of Opticians and the National Contact Lens Examiners. He has been a licensed dispensing optician in the State of Arizona since 2008.
With 21 years of experience, Lyle brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Eye Concepts team . He is certified by the American Board of Opticians, National Contact Lens Examiners and is currently working as an Arizona Licensed Dispensing Optician.
Shannon brings her collective dispensing optical experience to Eye Concepts and provides patients with exceptional care and knowledge. Shannon enjoys traveling and spending time with her children.
